Who is Ms. Carson?

Ms. Taiese Carson served as an educator for Prince George’s County for six years and has been an a DCPS teacher since 2014. While teaching, she has gained significant experience in educating linguistically and culturally diverse students, integrating technology, and using data to drive instruction. She has a proven track record of moving students academically. During the school year of 2011-2012, ALL of her students scored Proficient or Advanced on the Maryland State Assessment (MSA), making her one of the most sought after classrooms in the school. She is currently the Math Department Chair as well as the Math Intervention and Specialist Teacher at Capital City PCS, where she both teaches and coaches other educators to meet the needs of all learners. She has presented for the National Science Teacher’s Association, The Minority Institute for Urban Education, Math for America, and the EL National Conference.
